Bambusa lako (Timor Black Bamboo)
If you want a fast growing screening plant, them bamboos might be the answer.
Timor black bamboo grows to a height of about 12 metres and will reach that height
in a couple of summers. It's a clumping bamboo so you don't have to worry about
it taking over your yard or the next door neighbours.
New culms appear close to the original plant and can be easily broken off to resitrict
the size of the clump. The stems turn black with age and are a stunning addition to the garden.
